How do I download my YouTube history for analysis?
Go to Google Takeout. Click "Deselect all", scroll down, check "YouTube and YouTube Music", select "playlists" (for likes), "history" (for watch history), "subscriptions", and "comments" in data configurations. Request export, download the ZIP file, and drag-and-drop it into the dashboard.
Is my personal watch data private?
Yes, 100%. All Google Takeout file parsing, watch time calculations, and AI persona generation are performed client-side directly inside your browser. Your Gemini API key is stored securely in local browser storage (`localStorage`) and is never sent to our server.
Why is the YouTube dislike button not showing?
Make sure you have loaded the extension unpacked in your browser’s extension settings (`chrome://extensions/`) and Developer Mode is enabled. The extension automatically fetches dislike estimations from the Return YouTube Dislike API. If it fails, refresh the YouTube watch page.
How do I get a free Gemini API Key?
Go to Google AI Studio. Sign in with your Google account, click "Get API Key", and copy the key. Paste it inside the Settings tab of your dashboard to activate the AI Personality Mirror.
